Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every order placed on barkstead.com. Nothing in them limits your statutory rights as a UK consumer.

1. Who you are buying from

Barkstead is a trading name of Sluiman Commerce, Vrije Zeestraat 33, 1335 VR Almere, Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 98357840, VAT ID NL005327828B19. Email info@barkstead.com.

2. Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you the order confirmation email. If we cannot accept your order, for example because an item is out of stock or a price was clearly wrong, we will tell you and refund any payment.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT. Delivery costs are shown before you pay. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place the order.

4. Delivery

We deliver to the United Kingdom only. Standard delivery is £3.95, free on orders of £45 or more. Orders are dispatched within 1 working day and delivered within 4 to 7 working days from dispatch. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered. Full details are on our Delivery and returns page.

5. Your right to cancel

You may cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive the goods, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Tell us by email or with the model cancellation form. Return the goods within 14 days of cancelling at your own cost. We refund the price and standard delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the goods back. We may reduce the refund if the goods have been handled beyond what is needed to inspect them.

6. Faulty goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If they are not, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. Contact us within 30 days for a full refund including return postage.

7. Use of products

Our products are aids for everyday life with a dog. They are not medical or veterinary devices and make no health claims. Follow the care instructions supplied. Supervise your dog when a product is first used. If your dog is unwell, injured or in pain, consult a vet.

8. Liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. We are not liable for business losses.

9. Reviews

Reviews shown on this site are from customers who bought the product. We do not publish reviews we have written ourselves and we do not remove reviews because they are critical.

10. Complaints and disputes

Email info@barkstead.com and we will try to resolve the issue within 14 days. If we cannot, you may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform or take the matter to the courts of England and Wales. These terms are governed by English law.
